Mrs. Anita Stevens Richardson, age 77, of Old Fort, passed away at her home on Thursday, February 2, 2017.  She was a lifelong resident of Old Fort, born on October 25, 1939 to the late Aldie Stevens and Lassie Lunsford Stevens.  Her husband of 30 years, Paul Richardson, and two children, Steve and Lisa Morgan, preceded her in death.  Anita attended the Moffitt Hill Church of God her entire life.  She will be remembered for her beautiful smile and her sweet disposition and showed her love for others through her tender and compassionate dealings with those she met.  Always finding the good in others, she loved her friends and indeed life itself and those close to her will miss her very much.  As anyone who knew her will attest, her love of golf was a defining characteristic of her life and she found great joy being out on the links.  Her truest passion, however, was her love for her grandbabies and she literally lived for them.

Anita leaves behind a daughter, Donna Edmisten of the home; three sisters, Barbara Elliott of Old Fort, Lois Davis of Marion, and Reba Lytle of Old Fort.  Six grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren also survive her.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.
