Mrs. Ruth Taylor Crisp of Old Fort passed away Friday, October 13, 2017 at Deer Park Health & Rehabilitation.  Ruth was born to the late Erwin and Gertrude Rainwater Taylor of Greene County, Tenn.  She was born on March 17, 1923 and was 94 years of age at the time of her passing.  An avid gardener, Ruth really enjoyed her flower garden.  She also loved to play Bingo and was an accomplished bowler in her time.  She was Vice President of the Old Fort Kiwaniannes for many years.  Ruth was retired from Old Fort Finishing and following her retirement she worked at Mountain Ridge Wellness Center for several years.  Her beloved husband of 50 years Vincent Crisp, and two sons, Vernon and Donnie Crisp, preceded her in death.

Two children survive her, Rita Crisp Stockton and husband Jim of Marion and Harold Crisp and wife Charlyne of Clearwater, Florida.  Also surviving are her daughter-in-law Jan Crisp, fourteen grandchildren, eighteen great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandsons, and numerous nieces and nephews. 

The family will receive friends on Sunday, October 15, 2017 between the hours of 2:00 p.m. and 3:00 p.m.at Westmoreland Funeral Home in Marion.  A private burial will take place in Cherry Springs Memorial Park.  An online register is available at www.westmorelandfuneralhome.com.
