James “Bud” Bright, age 77, of Maiden, NC, formerly of Marion, passed away Friday, March 16, 2012 at Carolinas Medical Center- Lincoln in Lincolnton, NC. A native of McDowell County, James was born November 21, 1934 to the late John Bright and Lillian Lawson Bright. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army. In addition to his parents, he is also preceded in death by his first wife, Kathleen Poteat Bright; second wife, Rowena Dillingham Bright and one son, Donald Eugene Bright.
He is survived by one son, James R. Bright of Maiden and one sister, Beulah Roper of Marion.
A graveside service will be held Wednesday, March 21, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at McDowell Memorial Park with the Rev. Walker Toney officiating. Military honors will be provided by the U.S. Army. |
