James Eugene Wilson, age 61, of Marion, passed away Thursday, April 26, 2012 at The McDowell Hospital. A native of Yancey County, NC, James was born April 17, 1951 to the late James Alvin Wilson and Faye Murphy Wilson of Marion. In addition to his father, he is also preceded in death by his wife, Connie Spencer Wilson and his brother, Richard Lane Wilson.
In addition to his mother, he is also survived by three sons, Brent, Billy and Chris Wilson; three sister, Naomi Stevens (Ronnie), Susie Tipton (Randy) and Genia Johnson (Matt); one brother, Kevin Wilson. He is also survived by three grandchildren.
A funeral service for Mr. Wilson will be held Sunday, April 29, 2012 at 3:00 PM in the Chapel of Westmoreland Funeral Home with Rev. Scottie Calloway officiating. The family will receive friends immediately following the service at the funeral home.
