Mrs. Louise Whiteside “Mimaw” Hoyle, age 86, a good Christian woman and dedicated prayer warrior, passed away on Sunday, July 1, 2012 at the Memorial Campus of Mission Hospitals in Asheville.  She was born in McDowell County on July 31, 1925 to the late Zack and Laura Allison Whiteside, but was lovingly adopted and raised by Johnny and Malinda Padgett from an early age.  Louise loved her family and friends and they will fondly remember her for her big heart and dedication to them.  Her interests included cooking, reading and listening to music and she dearly loved Walker, Texas Ranger.  She was a member of Ebenezer United Methodist Church.  Her husband, Russell Hoyle, preceded her in death.

Survivors include her two daughters, Grace Thomas and her husband Preston of Old Fort and Michelle Vallecorse and her husband Roger of Miami, FL; three grandchildren, Pam Todd and her husband Chris, Melissa Thomas and Kendall Woodard; a great-grandson, Judas; and her close friend and cousin, Willie Gillespie.

A funeral service will be held on Friday, July 6, 2012 at 5:00 p.m. at Ebenezer United Methodist Church with Pastors David McHale and Preston Thomas officiating.  The family will receive friends from 3:00 – 5:00 p.m. prior to the service at the church.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery.  Memorials may be made to Gideon’s International at PO Box 1788, Marion, NC 28752.
