Lisa Marie Lauritano Yelton, age 47, of Marion, passed away Saturday, August 11, 2012.  A native of Brooklyn, NY, she was born October 20, 1964 to the late Ralph Jerry Lauritano and Lorraine Amato Lauritano.  Lisa was a Certified Veterinary Technician and specialized in equestrian medicine & therapy.  She held a number of degrees in animal science and medicine.  Lisa was also employed part time at Hands, Hearts & Horses working with children with special needs and was a member of EAGALA, equine therapy.

She is survived by her husband, Justin W. Yelton of the home; six children, Kerri Cornell Roth of Summit, NY, Krystal Rose Roth of Rock Hill, SC, Michaela Marie Roth of Marion and Sean Cameron Yelton of the home, Gabrielle Yelton and Justin Yelton of Marion; three brothers, Joseph Lauritano of Nevada, Stephen Lauritano of Arizona and Michael Barbuto of California.

A memorial service for Mrs. Yelton will be held Wednesday, August 15, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Westmoreland Funeral Home.  The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m., one hour prior to the service, at the funeral home.

I am so very sorry for your loss.My thoughts and prayers are with you all at this time.
Lisa worked with me in New York beginning in 2001 and was the sole force behind starting the Family Support movement in this county. She broke a trail to help all families with children who have emotional and behavioral challenges. The movement has survived and thrived! Thank you Lisa.
