Alice “Nana” Noblitt McKinney, age 75, of Marion, passed away at her home on Tuesday, August 13, 2019 following a period of declining health. A lifelong resident of Marion, she was born on January 23, 1944 and was a daughter of the late John C. Noblitt and Tillie Mills Noblitt. Alice attended Amazing Grace Baptist Church as long as her health allowed and she will be missed by her church family as well. Her husband of 55 years, Hershel Karl McKinney, Sr., as well as a son, Hershel Karl McKinney, Jr., and five brothers and a sister, preceded her in death.
She leaves behind four children, Diana Reel and Bobby, Lisa McKinney and Mike, David McKinney, and Wesley McKinney and Patti; four sisters, Linda Collins, Mabel Stratton, Jewel Mahan and Barbara Webb; seven grandsons, two granddaughters; one great-grandson and four great-granddaughters.
The family will receive friends on Friday, August 16, 2019 at Westmoreland Funeral Home in Marion from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. A funeral service will take place on Saturday, August 17, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Westmoreland Funeral Home with Rev. Mike Zullo officiating. Burial will follow in McDowell Memorial Park where she will be laid to rest beside her beloved Hershel.
