Jewel Lamb Noblitt, age 69, of Marion, went home to be with the Good Lord on Tuesday, September 10, 2019. Jewel‘s desire to be at home when she passed became a reality for her and with her family at her side, her transition from this side of eternity to everlasting peace was complete. The cares of this world have been set aside and she is now in the blessed presence of her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. A native of McDowell County, She was born on May 30, 1950 to the late Simon Paul Lamb and Cora Jane Randolph Lamb. Jewel attended Gethsemane Free Will Baptist Church. In her free time she enjoyed camping, listening to music and entertaining herself on her computer. She truly loved going to yard sales seeking treasures.
Her husband, Charles Spencer Noblitt preceded her in death and she is survived by two daughters, Teresa Lamb and Bill Thomas of Marion and Beverly Absher and husband Dennis of Gastonia; her life partner for the last 16 years, Alvin Phillips; a brother, Donald Lamb of Marion; two grandsons, Allen Lamb and his girlfriend Taylor Poteat and Dale Michael Lamb; and a number of nieces and nephews including a special nephew, Lee Lowery. Jewel will be laid to rest in the Mt. Calvary Free Will Baptist Church Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to the CarePartners “You Are Special” Fund at 575 Airport Road, Marion, NC 28752.
