On Monday, April 22, 2019, Baby Lily Dawn Vess, who was 15 months of age, slipped the bonds of this side of eternity and is now safely in the arms of her Savior Jesus Christ. Born January 9, 2018 to Tyler and Julie Vess, her life on this earth may seem short, and it was, but the impact she made on the lives of those who knew her and cared for her will be forever altered by her loving influence. To say she was personable would be a vast understatement. She reached out to everyone with her love and her beautiful spirit brought joy to all she encountered. She especially loved music and cats. Lily fought a hard battle and her strength was inspirational. Lily will be deeply missed.
Left to mourn her passing, but joyful in the fact that she is truly at peace now, in addition to her parents, are her paternal grandparents, Charity Anderson and husband Kelly of Marion and Jeremy Vess of Old Fort; her maternal grandparents, Donna Whitley and Glen Pack of Marion and Christopher Whitley of Midland; Paternal great-grandparents, Ivory Warren and husband George of Old Fort and Jerald Vess and wife Kay of Old Fort; maternal great-grandmother, Julie Moore of Old Fort; Paternal great-great-grandmother, Georgia Harris of Old Fort; her uncle and best friend, Ryan Whitley of the home; and four other uncles, Joseph Pack, Joseph Johnson, Isiah Vess and Gabriel Vess.
The family will gather at Westmoreland Funeral Home in Marion on Sunday, April 28, 2019 from 2:00 – 4:00 p.m. for a time of remembrance and celebration of her life.
