Mrs. Peggy Fender Duncan, age 84, of Marion, passed away Tuesday, August 27, 2019 at her home following a period of declining health. A native of Madison County, Peggy was born on November 19, 1934 to the late Jim and Easter Rice Fender. She was employed with the McDowell County School System in the Dietary Department. Her husband, Paul Dean Edgar Duncan, preceded her in death.
Surviving are four children, Becky Elliott and husband Van, Russell Duncan and Tim Duncan and wife Denise, all of Marion, and Pam Guy, of the home; nine grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, and her beloved canine companion, J.J.
