Mrs. Sandy Stines Sherlin, age, 58, of Marion, passed away on Monday, October 28, 2019 at her residence with her loving husband Eddie by her side. A native of Marion, Sandy was born on May 31, 1961 to the late Johnny Stines and Frances Miller Stines. Sandy served faithfully in the United States Army and also retired from the Charles George VA Medical Center in Asheville. She had quite a talent for crafts, with a special passion for creating art that represented people. The detail and time that she would invest in her art and crafts showed beautifully in her work. Sandy also had a passion for looking her families’ ancestry. She loved spending quality time with her husband in their flower garden and traveling all over the United States. Sandy and Eddie also spent time at car shows and exploring caves. She had a love for animals and made sure that they were always well taken care of. Sandy was a member of the Asheville Mushroom Club and C.B. Radio Club.
Surviving are her husband of 23 years, Eddie Sherlin; a daughter, Crystal Lening of Swannanoa; a step-son, Eric Sherlin of Atlanta, Georgia; and a brother, Gerald L. Stines and wife Pam of Marion.
A celebration of her life and memories will be held on Saturday, November 2, 2019 at 12:00 p.m. at her home.
