Larence William Cable, born September 26, 1928, to Floyd and Cora Cable in Graham County, NC, died December 26, 2020. Larence lived his adult life in Marion and Asheville. Due to his strong work ethics and frugal ways, he was successful in life. Larence loved the Lord Jesus Christ and followed Christian principles in his daily walk of life. He was partial to old-time Gospel preaching and Gospel singing. He was blessed with many wonderful friends and strong family ties.
Preceding Larence in death is the love of his life, who he married on January 3, 1948 and was married for 64 years, Virginia Hensley Cable; and three brothers, Clifford, J.C., and Bobby Cable.
Surviving Larence is his son, Frank Cable and wife Shelby, one granddaughter Tiffany; brother Jarvis and wife Helen; and sisters, Frances Shuford and husband Troy and Doris McMahan and husband Daniel.
The family wishes to express their deepest appreciation to the many friends and family members for the love and support they have given through the years. Although this terrible virus has affected our close contact, it has not interfered with that great bond that they feel toward each of you. Your prayers and love are treasured by the family.
Because of the virus, Larence will lie instate on Tuesday, December 29, 2020 form 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. at Westmoreland Funeral Home in Marion. A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, December 30, 2020 at 2:00 p.m. at Davis Town Freewill Baptist Church Cemetery.
