On the evening of Saturday, April 24, 2021, Tyler Patrick Cochran, age 31 of Marion, made the peaceful transition from this world through the pearly gates to walk on golden streets with his family by his side. Our Lord was merciful in answering prayers, granting Tyler a body made whole. Born in McDowell County on May 12, 1989, Tyler was the son of Patrick and Candis Justice Cochran.
A mischievous strong willed man, Tyler worked hard for his family at Coats America and faithfully served his country in the United States Navy. His favorite hobby was playing video games. Anyone that loved Tyler knew he would be there for them when no one else would.
Tyler’s biggest pride and joy was his family, especially his precious baby girl, Sophie who was his motivation to fight so hard during his illness. A devoted son, husband, father, and brother, Tyler will always remain in the hearts of those who had the chance to know him, and his legacy of a genuine soul will always keep his memory alive.
He is preceded in death by their first baby angel and his paternal grandfather, James Cochran.
In addition to his parents, those left behind to cherish Tyler’s memory are his beloved wife, Brooke Epley Cochran; his precious daughter, Sophie Cochran; his paternal grandmother, Carol Cochran; his maternal grandparents, Harry and Supaun Justice; and two brothers, Nicholas Cochran and Ryan Cochran both of Marion, NC.
A celebration of Tyler’s life will be held as a gathering of family and friends at his home from 2:00 P.M. until 6:00 P.M. on Tuesday, April 27, 2021. A private graveside service for close friends and family will take place at Mt. Calvary Free Will Baptist Church Cemetery.
